Since my graduation from Ole Miss in 1985, I have had the delightful experience of teaching children from all walks of MS. The children of MS have a thirst for knowledge that is rarely discussed in the media. Our children want to learn! I've instructed every grade level from K-8, inclusive, tutored Pre-Alg,Alg I, and admin correspondence courses for students who needed a one-on-one teacher. I obtained my Masters from Mississippi State in 2008. I have experience in the diverse ideologies presented in the educational programs of two of the largest universities in MS. I believe that every student deserves a quality education, and it is my responsibility not just to lecture or impart information, but to ensure that students gain a fundamental understanding of the material being presented. Consequently, I believe that learning should be an expansive process. Students need to acquire knowledge, retain it, and build upon it rather than memorize bits of information that will be later forgotten.
