My teaching strategy generally involves creating a foundation of basic principles and then building until a thorough understanding of the subject has been attained. I try to tailor my approach to the needs, goals, and learning style of the student. I typically explain each concept using a combination of textbooks, lecturing, and visual aids. I have received extensive formal training in all of the sciences, especially biology and microbiology. I also spent many years conducting research and teaching for various colleges and universities.
