I attended MTSU and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After college I worked at a food-microbiology lab in Nashville for a year. I plan to teach science in Africa with the Peace Corps for two years. I am very capable in most areas of math and science. I am also outgoing and easy to get along with.
First I would like to get to know the student and parents, focusing mainly on the student's interests and goals as well as how they feel about the particular subject they will be tutored in. After that I would have the student show me where they currently are in class and what they need help with. I received a BS degree from UTC and taught at DuPont Elementary for 8 years, taught for PC training organizations & then managed a training program at Chattanooga State Technical Community College where I wrote all manuals, taught all classes, & designed all testing. I also tutored for 2 years on a personal level with mostly elementary students in Math & English. I also did training for Erlanger Hospital & Memorial Hospital. I enjoy making a difference in the intellect of students. I have taught many PC software classes on MS Offioe, the internet and these are critical skills in this age also.
