Professional Dance Instructor for All Ages and Levels!!

I am a 22 year old professional dancer/teacher and I have my Bachelors of Arts in dance from UC Irvine. I have been dancing since the tender age of two both nationally and internationally, working with some of the top choreographers and performing on some major platforms thus far, including various award shows, music videos, and commercials. I currently teach hip-hop and tap to kids ages 4-17 at elementary schools and a local Los Angeles dance studio. I am very friendly, responsible, outgoing, and loving towards my students and am very interested in passing on my craft and knowledge of my art with them :)

I have earned a bachelors degree in Psychology, passed the CBEST, and have about four years of work experience as a tutor. I tutored students, ranging from grades K-12, in various subjects, but mainly in Mathematics and Language Arts/Reading. Also, in a previous position, I managed after-school tutoring programs for both elementary and junior high schools at the school site, in-home, and public location/library.
Education is extremely important to me. As an educator, I think it is important to not only share one's knowledge, but to be able to adapt one's teaching style for each student. Although I have worked mostly in Film and Television since graduating from University, I returned to the University of LaVerne in Athens, Greece in 2004 to tutor foreign students in essay writing and to help hem with their entrance exams. I worked there part-time (3 days a week) for 2 years. I continued tutoring 2 students privately for another year. In 2009 I tutored after-school English at DeAnza Middle School in Ventura for approximately 6 months.
I am a very caring teacher. I love to use humor and encouragement in the hopes that the students will feel inspired to continue and flourish in their writing, even after our time together is over. I believe in children and their ability to acheive anything, and try to relay that message to them in a fun and patient way. I love to see the spark ignite in the eyes of someone who has achieved something they didn't know they could.
