A Little Bit About Me...

I chose to earned my BS in Microbiology and minor in Chemistry because it was one of the hardest major. I did this in four years while married with three children. I enjoy challenges like this because I believe that with dedication, practice, and passion anyone can accomplish whatever goals they set out to do.
I've always have had a passion for children and teaching children. As an undergraduate student at the University of California Santa Barbara I found and nurtured a love to pass-on learned experiences to others. The program I was heavily involved with was named MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement). Being an engineer, I tutored students at different High Schools and found great pleasure in seeing how other kid's faces could 'sparkle,' when they found-out that they could solve problems which they may have not even of attempted had they not felt as if someone was there with them on their 'journey of learning.'
