Highly educated Math and Physics Tutor

Took Calculus 1 & 2 in High School with a grade of 100, and all Math and Physics classes in College were the highest grades in the class. Took AP BC Calc and made a 5 on the exam, had a great teacher, understand all highschool, and college level math below calc 2. Can also help with AutoCad drawings and other types of engineering drawings such as hand drafting. Good at proof-reading papers if that needs to be done. But all around I just like math and science. My last semester at FSU I internship with 1st grade students. I assisted students with areas they were struggled in and encouraged them to push themselves. I tutored several students in reading and writing skills. I also helped prepared students for their weekly math tests. By the end of the semester I took over teaching the class. Some classes in my major required me to do projects with children. As a volunteer, I participated this past year at camp Woe-Be-Gone. This is a one day camp that works with about 120 children, helping them learn at the museum of science and industry while understanding and coping with the illness or loss of loved one. In high school I volunteered with Best Buddies, allowing me to work with handicapped children. I also participated in TOPS as an assistant coach for handicapped children. A Little Bit About Me...

I am the author of five historical novels and a number of articles, poems and short stories. I occasionally do short “residences” teaching Language Arts and Drama to special needs students in k-12 schools for VSA Arts of Florida. My graduate studies emphasized American and Tudor/Stuart History. My doctorate included a Criminal Justice minor. I regularly teach writing and grant writing seminars to adults, usually through libraries on weekends or in the evening.
