My comments on tutoring Special Education : I am cerified in the state of North Carolina to teach learning disabled and mentally disabled students. I have a Master's degree in Special Education. I taught students with learning disabilities in the public school system. I am currently retired working with learning disabled adults.

I am very patient because learning is a process. I use hands-on activities as well as paper- pencil. I use pre and post test to determine the student's academic strengths and weaknesses.
I taught in the public school system for twenty-four and a half years. During that time I held various positions. I have taught self-contained behavior students and learning disabled resource classes. Elementary! Reading Specialist! Homeschool! Master’s Degree!

I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Wilmington. I taught first and second grades for ten years in the classroom. While teaching, I returned to school to receive my Master's Degree in Reading (k-12) and certification as a Reading Specialist. I worked as a Reading Teacher for five years, focusing on grades first through third. I also served as a K-2 Instructional Coach. The basics of style are very simple and can be distilled into one principle: a sentence, at its most basic level, is about actors and actions. As such, the subject of a sentence should point clearly to the actor, and the verb of the sentence should describe its important action.
