I have recently graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Elementary Education. I have had many years caring for children and have three years experience tutoring/teaching children. From these experiences I have been able to grow as a teacher and therefore help my students grow and learn more in depth concepts. I firmly believe that a good education must be adaptable, flexible, and incorporate a variety of learning styles if it is to be of maximum benefit to students. When teaching, I speak with my students about the kinds of activities they feel assist them most in retaining information as well as observing their learning style independently. I enjoy teaching kids of all ages and get along well with them while maintaining a degree of respect from them. I am capable at keeping them on task, even with challenging personalities. I enjoy doing hands-on work as well as print focused work. I have developed patience working with my own six kids in our home. I believe strongly that one-on-one tutoring is the most effective way to help a child achieve and any child will do well when the teaching is tailored to their needs.
