Because each student, young or old, responds to different learning stimuli (graphical or verbal) at diffrent rates, I always try to get to know my student first. I then try to tailor my tutoring to how they respond best and retain what they've learned. I believe in repetition and using examples that a student can relate to, and then testing the student's understanding of the subject matter.

As a biochemistry student at University of the Pacific, I was required to know the science so well that even if a random person on the street asks me a question, I would be able to explain it to him/her in a way that they could understand.
