I then try to tailor my tutoring to how they respond best and retain what they've learned. I liked to show similar example to the problems that students want to solve. I usually like to go over the theory first and then try to solve problems, so student can understand the whole concept. I will never do student homework for them and i always tell students to bring their textbook and notes. If they bring textbook then i can usually show them other similar problems rather than i am doing all their homework.
While i was going to CSU Stanislaus i tutor chemistry, biochemistry, and biology. I got BS in chemistry so i feel much more confident tutoring any high school or college level chemistry. I also took some biology classes. I am also compitent to tutor biology or high school level math. I prefer tutoring high school and college students because i have tutor that level before.
