A Little Bit About Me...

Having taught adults with no background in English, to 8th grade girls that had many different teachers, I have realized that every student learns in a unique way. Some people need to see the material, others need to write it out for themselves, and some need to hear the material in order to retain it. I usually try several different approaches until I see a positive response from the student. I also believe that you don’t know something until you can teach it to someone else; I encourage my students to re-explain things to me in their own words allowing me to be sure they’ve understood the lesson.
