Working in education since 2006 with ages 6 weeks to 18 years. I have student teaching experience from kindergarten thru 12th grade. I have substitute taught for kindergarten thru 12th grade as well. I have been enlisted in the Illinois Army National Guard since June 2012, and am currently enrolled in the Officer Candidate Program. I have been tutoring kindergarden level through sylvan learning center since the fall semester of 2013.

Over those years I have taught 1st grade for two years, and Middle School Grades 6-8 Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. I have also served as a Homebound Instructor for Elementary, Middle School, and High School Students for 3 years. In addition I have served as an after school tutor for 4 years with the YMCA and Sylvan Learning Center. I was basketball coach for 2 years for 4th and 5th grade students previously. Finally I served as the Chairman over the Real Men Read Program at Lincoln Middle School for 4 years.

My ESL teaching style includes an approach called 'whole language learning', which includes reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I also implement interactive learning (i.e. conversation and dialogues, interactive websites, etc.) and learning through play/games. I always adapt my teaching methods to my students' learning styles, whether they be auditory, visual, TPR, tactile, or analytic learners. As a certified TESL instructor, I have worked as an ESL teacher for Aston English in Weihai, China for the past 12 months. Before my time teaching abroad, I volunteered in an English learning class at Ozark Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri. I love to get to know my students to see what would best fit them. I use manipulatives to give the student a more hands on experience of what is being taught. I also love to play games to reinforce what I have taught them. I have many different on- line games and videos that can help also. I have been teaching for 4 and a half years as a third grade teacher in the city of St. Louis. In this position I have created lesson plans and have worked in a whole group setting as well as individually with students. I have done many forms of assessments to show where the student is and what they still need help with. I am currently going to Webster University to complete my Masters in Reading and plan on completing this in the summer of 2014.

Hello! My name is Ms.Camp or you may also call me Ms. Jasmyn. I am a full time student going to college for my elementary education teaching degree. I have worked with children for the past four years. I have worked with children with autism, disabilities and behavioral concerns. I have been been in the Rbt position as well as paraprofessional where I have supported students throughout their schooling not only academically but also emotionally and physically. I have taught students the basic skills necessary for everyday life as well as I am currently assisting students up to 5th grade with whatever subject they need help with but mostly reading and writing.
