In college I tutored at one of the high schools while monitoring study hall three days a week. After graduation I joined the Peace Corp. I served in the Tonga Islands in the South Pacific. I taught farming skills and assisted nurse volunteers with health and medical needs. To me, there is nothing more gratifying than achieving the "aha" moment when a child or adult understands a concept and can put it into practice. Because there is no single path to arriving at that moment, I believe it is necessary to understand how a student best learns and then tailor my tutoring to his or her learning style. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from Central Michigan with a BS in Business, I decided to go back to school to become a science teacher. I will be certified to teach grades 7-12 in Biology and in Chemistry. I am currently finishing up my last 3 classes before I begin student teaching. In the fall I will teach classes at Eastern Michigan to prospecting elementary teachers.
