I have always thought of myself as a progressive teacher. I always thought children could learn to do anything they were asked to do. I always loved learning and felt it was my obligation to instill the same in all my students, no matter what age. I feel all students are influenced by the use of art and music to learn and that is what I use. I know I can make a difference in each child and give them a healthy learning environment. I am a passionate teacher who loves educating children of all ages by individualizing instruction. My love for teaching is my driving force behind creatively introducing new interesting ways of teaching for all children to have the opportunity to achieve academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. I have earned a degree in dance/education and a Masters in Early Childhood Education. I have taught English grades 1-8. I focus my teaching on improving reading comprehension skills, standardized test taking strategies, and writing skills.
