I have been working with children since I graduated from high school. I was a teachers assistant for the hearing impaired for 4 years and did some tutoring on the side for both deaf and hearing children. I attended college and received my bachelors degree in Psychology and then got a job as a teacher on an emergency credential and realized I loved teaching. When I graduated from college, I taught bilingual elementary kindergarten for 2 years on an emergency credential. I moved to Missouri in 1995 and since 1997 I have been a daycare director till recently. I enjoy seeing the pride and joy in each child when they learn something new. This summer will be my fourth summer teaching at the New York Summer Music Festival, in Oneonta, New York. For this festival I am responsible for organizing and coaching chamber groups, teaching private lessons, giving reed classes and master classes, and coaching sectionals.
