I have a degree in Early Childhool however, I have taught Biology for 9th and 10th graders in a private school. My husband, being prior military kept us moving so I have been a substitute for many years. I also taught my son until the 4th grade and he is now attending private school.
I believe that there are 3 types of learners: 1.Oral : learn by hearing 2.Visual : learn by seeing 3.Kinesthetic: learn by hearing, seeing and using their hands The Oral learner is a “teacher’s pet” because they are the students that will listen in class, barely take notes and do quite well in school. The Visual learner must “look on” as a teacher reads, not taking notes but to follow along in a book. The Kinesthetic learner usually has to listen, take notes, read along but will also tap their foot or a pencil.These types of “distractions” actually help a kinesthetic learner.

I have recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude, which is the highest of academic honors. In order to obtain my degree, I was required to take several courses in a very broad area of study including writing, literature, reading, mathematics, history, and sciences. I have an extensive background in English courses, including knowledge of several research and writing styles. My tutoring experience mainly includes English and writing work, but I also have experience with tutoring some math classes and history.

A Little Bit About Me...

As the valedictorian of my high school class, I know that all children have the ability to achieve their highest level of education with proper mentoring, coaching and training. All children deserve a healthy start in school and life. I enjoy assisting children with English, research papers, reading and creative writing, and science. My preference is children who are in elementary to middle school.
I truly appreciate helping children, young adults reach their maximum potential and become the best with the gifts they are endowed. I will meet them at their level of learning, assess their abilities and work with them as needed. This requires an assessment of their level of reading, phonics, and analytical abilities.
