A Little Bit About Me...

I have teaching experience on all grade levels in urban school districts. I am currently a special education teacher in the Saint Louis Public School District, and I have enjoyed the challenge of working with educationally handicapped students and seeing many of them being mainstreamed into the general education population. I have had the opportunity to incorporate a learning center environment based on student needs, and utilized activity centers for individualized and small group instruction. These efforts helped to improve student achievement and stimulated interest in learning.
I have worked with students of varied ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. I lean more towards the Progressive style of teaching in that I teach my students the skills and strategies that will help them become successful in society.
