I believe that Mathematics is the language of all sciences, and that children need a good foundation in this subject to succeed. I am passionate about achieving understanding of Mathematical topics in a child, since I believe many children dislike Math simply because they do not understand it. I greatly enjoy working with all types of children and look forward to contributing to bettering our future by working with our young people one on one. Working with students in math, I like to ask what the student enjoys doing while not in school. I like to relate this to the math to make it more interesting as well as making it fun. This will also make the student more comfortable and lowers the stress level. In lower level courses in basic math up to middle level courses such as algebra, the methods used are integrating the content into the unsolved variables and/or word problems. In higher level courses such as differential calculus, I like to give a specific scenario where the content would relate to what they would do in the activity or hobby outside of school.
