As a Communication major at College of Charleston, the majority of my undergraduate assessment was research papers, essays, and writing exams. My grammar and writing skills have been far above average throughout my academic career. During the last three years since graduation, I have spent fifteen months teaching English as a Second Language at Chinese secondary schools. I also taught private lessons to Korean International students. As an English teacher, I represented my language every day and taught my students with accuracy and enthusiasm.

I enjoy engaging students with the actuality of what is expected of them in the "real world" of academic writing assignments. Often, students may struggle with grammar and mechanics fundamentals--but fail to see the larger scope of how to put an essay or research project together.
