While going to college at the UW – Eau Claire, I've been a math and statistics tutor for the past four years. I've also been a Teacher’s Assistant for a statistics Professor where my duties consisted of running review sessions for the class before quizzes and exams along with grading homework and exams. I have completed four statistics courses dealing with different areas of statistics. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring. Over the past four years I’ve tutored seven students individually meeting at the library to work. Last year, though, I worked with a student who had Cerebral Palsy. I worked with him individually at his own home. I thought it was a great experience and we had a blast working together.

I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute,a college that prides itself in a rigorous curriculum with a strong emphasis on projects that its students prepare for a real world experience. WPI’s fast paced 7 week terms helped me learn time management skills, self teaching, and working in groups. I have earned a BS in chemistry with a focus on organic synthesis, as well as a concentration in history, specifically the history technology. The projects I completed include creating and analyzing a new organic compound, traveling to Africa to research Roman water technology, and working at the Tower of London Museum to research visitor satisfaction. First I like to try to ask them where they are having trouble or watch them do some problems to see where they are having troubles. Where I find the problem I would show them the correct ways to approach a problem and prove it to them or use other methods to help them understand how the concepts work. I'm a good listener and very patient with students. Also with my computer science background, especially in statistics related applications, I can make demonstrations do demonstrate or even solve problems.
I often helped people with their math regardless if it was 3rd grade or college level. I'm always offering my help to friends around the area or even online. With a degree in Marketing and a year of school for mechanical engineering I have completed a number of calculus classes throughout the years. I supported myself throughout college and beyond in the Food and Beverage Service Industry and took a job in the Insurance Industry after graduating. I am now in the process of starting my own company and am looking for extra work as well.
