I have taught middle grades from 1998-2003. I have taught special education to special adults from 2003-2011. In this last teaching job, I had a few individuals who I helped with some classes of the GED through the Rankin County Schools. Composition is one of my top subjects! I scored a perfect score on the state writing test in high school. I also scored very high in all of my college composition courses.

As a graduate of a small junior college I believe one on one teaching gives students the advantage over a large group because the child can receive the necessary attention for learning skills in reading, writing and math. Many children learn differently some are visual learners,some are audio etc. I have been instructed through various techniques in reading with chilldren that will help them achieve a higher reading level of success. I am a hands on person where math is concerned allowing the child to use mannipulatives. Taking time to explain until they understand. In reading we can do shared reading and other techniques.
