Even though I am young, I do know how to convey teaching skills with the "up-to-date" mind set of today's generation. I have tutored two kids with elementary math, and reading. My best subjects are Reading and Writing! I helped the children with multiplication, subtraction, division. In reading, I helped improve there level of reading to a year ahead from where they should be. I am currently tutoring my younger sister in long division.

Taking the fear out of testing, one session at a time

Currently I am tutoring Biology (among other sciences) as well as English at Pueblo Community College. I have been there for close to a half of a year at this point. I also have a 15 year old son who is in the IB program at Palmer. He does very well in school, I like to attribute that partially to my skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I have extensive experience working with students of all ages, from elementary school through junior college. As a parent volunteer, I tutored K-6 students in math and reading. My comments on tutoring English : I speak English very well. Grammar is highly important to me.

I have not tutored as an actual job ever, though I have done many other things that would be considered tutoring. I help my 12 year old nephew with his homework and have done so for about a year. I taught Sunday School at church for two years. My friends and other students have always come to me for help with essays and other English related assignments. Whether it be general proofreading, paragraph writing, paragraph flow, etc, that is the type of help I gave. I also have several Korean friends at college who are learning English as their second language, and one Finnish friend who learned English as her fifth language. I explain the basics to them, and help them learn English. I've learned that I do well in this field, and would like to continue with a paying job.
