My comments on tutoring Geography : One of my favorite subjects.

I admittedly have little experience, but I have helped Friends with school work in the past. I've proofread for friends and helped them study for tests in lower level classes. I'm a above average student who loves kids, with hopes to be a teacher some point in the future. I'm hoping this way I can help some younger kids get ahead in school.

I have been a tutor for 23 years and I have taught Adult Basic Education for 12 years. I am still continuing my education to receive a Masters degree and plan to get my PhD. I work for a community college and have done advising, enrollment, testing, phone directory, and student sevices. I have attended many professional development workshops on education.
Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them. Very hands on with a strict demeanor initially that I relax as I gain my students mutual respect.
