I have been a teaching and laboratory assistant for eight years through my undergraduate and postgraduate studies. I've focused on marine ecology, but I've also helped with field ecology, field biology, and marine biology. After finishing my PhD, I taught a marine biology course at my undergraduate university and thoroughly enjoyed the experience; however, I've decided to continue my research career in the way of a postdoctoral fellowship. My teaching experiences include college faculty member and home school teacher for my four children. They graduated from the Independent Study High School University of Nebraska, participated in Running Start and are all college graduates. I was also a 4-H leader for over twenty years and instructed many youth. As a community organizer, I developed public education and outreach programs.
