Hearing Impaired is one of my top subjects! I have traveled to many different states and have built relationships with deaf,deaf blind. Deaf culture is my focus to individualize my skill.

I studied and recieved my Associates of Science Degree in Deaf Interpretive Services in 2011 at Cuyahoga Community College. I also recieved an Associates Degree of Arts 2010. I prefer to teach by utilizing real-life situations that are pertinent to the subject matter. In my opinion, when you are able to bring the subject matter to life by making it relevant to the students you are teaching, there is a greater chance that the student will not only understand the information, but remember it long after they leave the classroom.

I love to teach and have a passion for working with students with disabilities. I believe all children can learn, but many have their own individual learning style. Learning is always easier when it is fun and interesting. In any given teaching situation I look for ways to add zest to learning. At the outset of tutoring I do an assessment of where students are currently achieving in a specific subject area, and identify skills that they may be lacking. Next, I develop a learning plan with specific goals. This becomes the basis for a learning contract between myself and the person seeking tutoring.
