My experience studying art, art history, and critical theory has made me an adaptable, agile instructor. I rely on my ability to approach teaching through creativity and critical thinking. While attending Florida A&M University I always had a passion for Mathematics, therefore my first year I took Honors Calculus I and received a grade of a 'B'. From that point I completed my Bachelor degree in Computer Information Systems and took my passion in math and began to work on my MEd in Secondary education. A Little Bit About Me...

I firmly believe in students succeeding in school and life. Having a love for learning and school is the key to good grades and a healthy attitude. I don’t believe any child wants to fail. Quite the contrary, children want to succeed. When students fail, it is because the system failed them and not the other way around. I believe the key to teaching kids is to help that child experience immediate success so they can gain self esteem during critical elementary school years. Next, areas of strength need to be identified and emphasized while weaknesses need to be improved. Meanwhile homework cannot be treated as an isolated event, but should be incorporated into the learning strategy.
