A Little Bit About Me...

I am an experienced and licensed educator in the State of Georgia. I taught high school history for 13 years. I taught US history, world history, Ethnic studies, and an array of other courses. Also, I created and implemented an after school tutorial program for high school students at Statesboro High School. Presently, I am teaching a class at Georgia Southern University, and I teach graduate level education courses online. Therefore, I have experience with high school and college students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with children and understand that everyone has a unique learning style. An effective teacher works with this while exercising patience, care and consideration for students as they guide them to subject mastery. My preferred method of teaching is show and do. I show the technique or concept, and then give the student a chance to practice and demonstrate that they understand. The student learns best when they can find or develop the answer themselves. We then work to build on what they understand until they master the subject.
