A Little Bit About Me...

As an Early Childhood teacher, I have chosen what I believe to be a very important position in society. I have both a BA and a MED in Early Childhood Education. I have taught school for 27 years. During these years I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten,1st grade and specialized reading in grades 2-5. I have taught students in large classes, small groups and as individuals. I have knowledge in many areas of learning for young children, but am most proficeint in Math and Language Arts.
I enjoy teaching children and get great pleasure from helping them to learn new concepts. It is very exciting to see the glow in the eyes of a child when he has realized that he understands what we are studying. I believe each child is an individual and learns in his own way. I am patient, easy going, and caring. My goal is to provide the best education possible. All children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. Educators are the world's gift and teachers hold a dear and near place to every child's heart. Every child can remember a few teahers that changed their lives. When I am not tutoring I volunteer with youth programs and community outreach and habitat for Humanity. I want to help the youth and my community succeed.
