A Little Bit About Me...

I first started tutoring in 2001 as in-house tutor at New Britain High School until June 2005. I have earned bachelor degrees in International Business/Finance which has enabled me to gain understanding in areas of math and business. Furthermore, I have tutored students in Reading, Math, and Writing from Kindergarten to High school students as NCLB Supplemental Educational Services. In addition, I have completed Special Needs for Special Student class at University of Connecticut.
I love teaching and working with kids. Each child learns at his/her own rate and in different ways. I am always there to help them to find alternative sources to achieve their goals. I believe anyone can achieve something in life.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that a love of school and learning begins with confidence in one's own abilities. Some find it easy, and others need a certain dose of encouragement and guidance to gain that self-assurance. As a tutor, I think it’s important to provide consistent practice and celebrate small successes so that the student rediscovers how good it feels to do well. In addition to regular exercises, I take the time to explain how and why things work and what their applications are in life outside school. I believe that this helps the student understand the rationale behind their efforts and can spark more enthusiasm to learn. Coming from a poor background I was very much determined to change my family economic situation. I work hard and smart to make this happen and in the process I have acquired training and learning skills that will empower students from every background. In 1998 I founded a non-profit organization GHAPE and I have been providing varied trainings to the needy to explore their potentials.
