My comments on tutoring Grammar : Students encounter incorrect grammar usage such as in referring to first, second, and third person, shifting a noun into a pronoun, and use of tenses (future, present, and past). Another mistake students demonstrate is usage of adverb of time, manner, and place. Use of conjunctions and interjections are difficult for some students.

I started teaching right after my college graduation from Philippine Normal University. I taught ESL (English as A Second Language in public schools from 1968 - 1985. From 1985 - 1991 I taught at the United States Refugee Program. On October 1991 I was sent by the US Refugee Program to University of Omaha, Nebraska as a guest lecturer on ESL. Then I worked as a tutor in English Business for foreign professionals in Connecticut from December 1991 - 1995. Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. Breezed through it in high school and first couple years of college, realized it would be an excellent thing for me to major in. Economics is all about logic, and being a logical person, economics always came easy. When you think logically, you are thinking economically.
