I'm most interested in tutoring on the high-school or college level, but I do have experience teaching young children as well. I believe that the biggest impediment to learning a subject is anxiety, often from a bad classroom experience, so my approach focuses on beginning at the learner's level and making sure to check every concept before moving on to the next one. This works. I offer a patient, learner-focused teaching style that is able to use a broad variety of examples and experience from everyday life and my experience to illustrate points. I have earned two bachelor degrees, one in Information Systems and Business Processes and the other in Communications and Media. I believe that education is very important and am now continuing my education, I plan to receive my Masters in Higher Education in May 2012. I have worked as a counselor at a young female enrichment program for the last two years, and enjoyed tutoring in Math, Science, Digital Arts and would love to tutor in other subjects if needed.

I love learning and the precision arts such as mathematics. This has driven me to begin in a computer career. I spent almost two decades applying my computer skills. Learning has never stopped for me. But then I love the outdoors and working with my hands. I have taught myself the carpentry trade and the concrete business. I started out by sitting down with the manuals and memorized the building codes before I built my own house. Recently I applied mathematics to a roof I was building. Simple, yes, but not everyone would take the time to lay it out on paper and get accurate measurements.
