A Little Bit About Me...

Once in a classroom I realized that I was meant to teach. I love working with students who are challenging and those who challenge me. I believe that I can become a better teacher only by continually challenging myself and my students. The key phrase “engaging students” seems less than what is required in the classroom. I want my students to be engaged but I want them to encompass and enjoy what they are doing as well. I love technology and new method topics; I have a very strong math and science background as well as excellent written and verbal presentation skills. Coming from a large family and having a large family myself, I have always been around children of all ages and enjoyed working with kids to develop themselves and prepare them for a meaningful place in our society. I am very patient with children and will use different approaches to teach. I try very hard to install a love of learning and work hard to encourage a curiousity of any subject that interests them. I have graduated from Cornell with As and high Bs in all of my general requirement math and science classes, including AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics 1,2, AP Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Physics of Waves and Optics, and the Mechanics of Solids.
