I believe that in order for students to obtain knowledge, they must develop some level of interest in the subject. As a teacher, I try to understand the student's mind in order to present the material in such a way that it will fit together with the student's preexisting knowledge. If a student is passionate about sports or video games, I try and use examples and metaphors from those respective areas within the lessons. I received my BS in Mathematics and my MS in Industrial Mathematics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. I am hands on. I am very parient and to not get frustrated easily. I do not have an age preference becuase I enjoy working with all age groups. I am personaly continuing with my Masters in September of this year. I cannot express how important education is to further your ability to care and provide for your family.
