In high school I was known for my good grades, and passed on my knowledge by tutoring my fellow classmates and students in earlier grades. I emphasize problem solving skills that start with defining the problem, then identifying the relevant data given and always keeping in mind the final goal. Reaching the goal may involve a number of steps, so organizing your work is a key skill in the process. Once a goal is identified, the definitions, ideas, and theories that will help you arrive at the solution must always be kept in mind and tested for relevance during the process.
