A Little Bit About Me...

I have a variety of teaching experience. I began teaching as a secondary Language Arts instructor with focus on reading skills, reading comprehension, interpretation of literature, and writing. I have taught students the writing process, research skills, and all areas of proofreading, editing, and revising. I have also been a tutor for homebound students at grade levels 1-12 as well as taught students in Adult Basic Education classes. I have also taught mathematics from grades 1-10 (includes algebra). I am able to teach math at levels 1-10 and all areas of Language Arts , reading, and study skills. I love working with all ages and generally prefer English as a Second Language students, but I enjoy working with everyone. My teaching style is very student centered as I try to figure out what a learner likes to learn and cater the instruction to them so it stays fun and educational.
