My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I have utilized study skills to prepare students for various tests. Also, I have used study skills during my bachelor, Masters, and doctoral degrees. Lastly, I have helped college students with study skills.

I use a combination of both online games and Websites and hands-on manipulatives. First, I like for the student to take multiple intelligence tests and then I know how best to help the student. The information I gain from the analysis is extremely informative. It tells me where the students' strengths lie such as some students are musically inclined, some are visual learners, auditory learners, some are mathematicians and various other styles. Then, the style that they learn through the best is how I would teach the student; this is based on Gardner's Multiple Intelligence. Second, meeting the standards are essential in today's education system. The four C's of the 21st century is also necessary for students' to learn. They are collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity.
I have tutored in both Robeson County and Cumberland County for a total of six years. I ... read more

I have an understanding of how students struggle in various subjects such as Math and English which are two of my strongest areas.
What tools I use in the classroom really depends on the student's learning style and course material. Some individuals learn by performing tasks, while others learn by reading or hearing the material to be learned.
