My experience working in a local high school--as the school bookkeeper, as a substitute teacher, and as the cheerleader coach has given me the skills I need to teach and tutor others. I have a Master's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Accounting, and was asked by a former professor to teach a Principles of Accounting class. At the time, I was employed full time and could not accept the position. I have extensive skills in writing essays and research reports. I'm known for my patience working with students with foreign-language backgrounds and other disabilities such as a lack of attention and focus. I learned from my professors at Swarthmore College (and a few at Penn) how to project a non-B.S. style, since kids tend to intuitively realize when their teacher has no idea what he/she is talking about.
