I continued private tutoring after leaving the agency and also worked briefly as a tutor during an off track period. In community college I began working at a youth center and became a youth counselor/tutor. I helped students ages 9-20 in a variety of academic subjects, especially ELA. I spent three years working there and when I moved to another job as a Case Manager in a middle school, I still spent every afternoon at the center volunteering my time.
