I have been teaching and tutoring for many years. I have tutoring experience for students in grades 1,2,3,and 5. Elementary Phonics is one of my top subjects! Taught phonics to all four of my children (two of which were foreign speaking adopted from Russia and one of whom was dyslexic) until they became proficient readers and now love reading. Also was a literacy volunteer for 12 years for an adult reader. I have home schooled my children for 16 years and all four are in college now. Phonics was used to teach them to read. My youngest learned to read at a young age just watching her older siblings being given phonics lessons (from her high chair in the kitchen).

Slow learners require a few tricks along the way such as nmonic devices or other reading assistant tools. All children have the ability to do whatever they dream of, a helping hand in the right direction and some patients is all it takes. As for computer teaching, a hands on experience is the way to go.
