I enjoy teaching children in grades one through six in every subject. I have eight years of experience teaching children as a one on one tutor and teacher, and five years of teaching experience as an Instructor at the University of Georgia. Motivating students, and using computer software programs to engage students are essential in the learning environment. Exceeded my GED tests and finished classes early

Enrolled in GED classes in late January 2011 and completed the courses within a week and took my GED 2 weeks later and passed in all fields with high scores or exceeding scores. Im 17 but willing to work hard and do everything I can to make sure the student passes and even exceeds on their GED. I have experience in GED classes and with the test since I have taken it and exceeded it recently.

As an instructional assistant for kindergarden I was responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with daily instrucion and activities. I provided individual instruction when needed and assisted in developing behavior modificaion plans.
I enjoy working with elementary aged children. I believe that all children want to learn but all have individual styles that an instructor must recognize. You can actually see the "a-ha" factor when a child has processed and understood something. That is my favorite expression. It looks like surprise and joy all in one facial expression. I stoped working in education and now realize that I need to be in a classroom setting working with children. I believe it is my natural calling and I plan to be a memorable instructor/tutor.

I believe in completing an individual needs assessment and designing a study approach around that assessment. I believe in constant reinforcement and reassessment. I also believe it is useful to utilize as many and as varied forms of instruction as possible (written, audio-visual, demonstration, etc.) to solidify a concept. Promoting thorough understanding rather than route memory and recognition skills is paramount.
