Geography is one of my top subjects!

I attended Rufus King World IB High school in Milwaukee, Wi, one of the most prestigious inner city high schools in the country. I excelled in IB Geography, Chorus, and Theatre. I was one of those kids who never did any homework, but passed my tests. Everyone came to me for help on projects, homework, ect. I feel that I didn't fully utilize my strengths in school as I could have, so I would love to share that with those who need it now.
Very relaxed, easy going, friendly. I feel less pressure and non stressful settings help students learn better. They can relate to a younger person who is more in tune with youth and someone who understands them.

I love to work with students of all ages. I am a patient teacher and try to tailor my teaching style to the progress of my student. My education experience spans many areas. I teach both face-to-face and online courses. In my face-to-face courses I usually start with a class discussion on the previous topic. I do this with a series of loaded questions meant to grab the students attention where I then work my way into the next lecture. I like to employ a variety of techniques such as power point and documentaries for student to get a better image of the historical subject at hand. I usually give three paper topics throughout the semester along with four tests. I focus intensely on making students better readers and writers. I have found history is a good means of achieving these goals when a students is given a subject he or she is interested in.
