I greatly enjoy seeing the students achieve their learning goals and their yearly progress In 2000, I began to teach special education and teaching special needs children with learning disabilities. I taught grades 3rd-5th in a self-contained, reading, math, and language skills and middle school grades 6th- 8th. After Hurricane Katrina, I moved to Pensacola, Fl. I taught regular ed. 3rd grade, all subjects,special ed., 3rd-5th and SRA reading classes, high school grades 9-12, career ed., health, and reading to behaviorally challenged students. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Mississippi. I am dedicated and plan to further my education at the Master’s level. My undergraduate career consisted of many hours of numerous subjects such as Math (Algebra-Calculus II), Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Etc. Being a college graduate, I am also very skilled in the fundamentals of reading and writing. Since I graduated I have been working as a Behavior Consultant for children with developmental disabilities. I worked one on one with the children as well as designed functional behavior assessments and plans in order to increase their performance at school.
