I have taught internship classes and tutored statistics at the University level. I have tutored mathematics from elementary to calculus at a junior college. My comments on tutoring Math : I can't teach higher level math past Algebra 1

I've completed high school and been accepted into college, so I obviously have what's needed for the lower levels of education, such as elementary students, and I maintained a GPA of 3.5 throughout my high school career, so there is a good change I'll at least be able to get the resources needed for your student to excel in the subject of study they struggle in. I'm very good with younger children, I've worked with them extensively for several years.
I prefer to try to be more hands-on in my approach to teaching, especially with younger children. I do know that their attention span isn't as long as that of older people, so I try to keep them engaged through short and interactive sessions.

I believe anyone can learn. Some may have to work harder at it than others. With others you may need to find different approaches but anyone can learn. In my classrooms I teach the individual students not the class. The biggest challenge for a teacher is giving the students the confidence that they can learn.
