My comments on tutoring Algebra I : I excelled in my studies throughout high school and college; I was a top student in all of my math classes. Although I have not taken a designated Math in recent years, I am willing to refreshen my abilities for the sake of helping the student.

Summer Math Tutor

I have tutored on a college level up to Calculus II in my campus tutoring center. I have completed two National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates in math and biology. Algebra I is one of my top subjects! Math, Math, makes me laugh, but Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally becasue she dosn't find it funny seeing as how i use her to to solve most of my equations.

In 2009 I was selected by my Engineering Teacher to tutor his afternoon tutoring class because he had another class to teach and could'nt be in two places at the same time. I was chosen because of how proficient i was in mathematics, my ability to go and find it if I did'nt know, my willingness to help others, and because I withheld a GPA of 4.0.

I have not tutored publicly before, but have tutored friends children/ family members for standardized tests such as the high school history and english statewide tests. I have tutored 5+ people in college algebra (all earning A's) as well as helped high school students with algebra. I am probably best at writing papers and reading comprehension type tasks.
