While earning my teaching degree, I was employed for 3 years as a paraprofessional and therapeutic staff support specialist. The students I tutored and counseled ranged in age from 9 to 21 years old. For the past 7 years I have been employed part time at an private alternative education school as the special education teacher. The students are in 7th through 12th grade, and they are diagnosed with a need for emotional support. I also work each afternoon as a home school teacher. I believe in practice and examples as the clearest path to success. I don't hand deliver answers and I make the process towards answers engaging.
