Biology is one of my top subjects! BA in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology/Evolution as well as a Masters degree in science education with a content area of Biology.

I received my BA degree in Ecology/ Evolution from the University of Utah. Many years later after serving in the military and starting a family, I went back to school to receive a teaching certificate in the state of NC, after moving to Arkansas with my family, I converted it to an Arkansas license. In 2009, I returned to school again to fulfill a dream of completing a Master's degree. I have been working as a substitute teacher for 5 years and I have been tutoring for 2 years. During the last twelve years I have worked within the public school system in both Arkansas and Florida. Between 1998 and 2000 I worked as a substitute for the Cabot School District. Between the years of 2000 and 2005 I worked with the Special Education teacher at Landmark Elementary in Little Rock, AR to ensure student achievement. In 2005 I moved to Ocala, FL and worked for the Hammett L. Bowen Elementary until June 2010. While in the district I was able to complete my ESOL certification as well as work with special education students in a full inclusion setting. Though I am certified to teach all subjects, my fields of expertise are in the areas of math, science, and language arts.
