I started out volunteering at my children's Mother's Day Out Program where I taught very young children and nurtured them to learn that it was OK for mom to leave because she always came back. We had circle time, learned the basics, how to share, give, receive, pray, hug and make friends. From there I graduated to a more formal training i.e. preschool, where I actually planned lessons and age appropriate curriculum. Throughout my education experience, I was taught that whole learning is the best form of education. An education is not just gained through books; every life experience is capable of teaching a child. Math can be taught through books, games or even by counting the number of sprinkles on their sundae. Science can be taught by explaining why the cloud is in the sky and why it is raining.
