My college experience in the subjects of Economics, Government, Language, Math, Science, and Social Studies was rigorous. After finishing undergraduate courses, I worked for a program that sent college students out to public schools to be Teacher's Aids. We were expected to help any students who were falling behind in a subject. The experience was so rewarding that after graduation, I took a position working with troubled students convicted of sexual assault, teaching them math and science for six months. That time was more challenging since students had wide-ranging ages and special needs. I learned how to work with I.E.Ps. Later, I worked as a tutor/teacher at a middle school in L.A. My teaching style really depends on the person I am working with. People learn different ways. It is important to identify what works best for the person. For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter. I like to identify how the person learns first through questions, or by testing them with a simple task first to identify the method which seems to work best for them. Once this has been identified, training can begin.

As a graduate of a private college, I have always been driven to perform at the top of my game. I have received two Bachelors degrees in both English literature and theater. Early in my collegiate career I gained a position as a teaching assistant (TA) and taught a required first year course for 3 out of my 4 years of college. In this position, I noticed that a lot of writing skills were missing from first year students that I felt that they should hav possessed and created and implemented a collegiate level writing and researching workshop that the college still uses.
