I have a passion for teaching and learning- it runs in the family as my husband is a middle school science and math teacher. Our parents are lifelong edcuators in Wakulla County. In the past two years I have learned that one set teaching style does not work for everyone. I feel it is important to first figure out how the individual learns most effective, and then gear my teaching style around their strengths. Though some methods may change I do believe some main points are very important. A student needs to do the work they are assigned, whether it is from their teacher or me as a tutor. Students who do not do their work are severely hurting themselves. Also, I believe that students will learn best from questions that they develop themselves. If a student can start a session with a few questions about a topic they do not understand, are confused on, or need to know more about it can help to focus the session.

I earned my bachelor degree in Communications and Creative Writing (double major), which has attributed to my excellent verbal communication skills as well as my writing skills.
