I really enjoy teaching math. I enjoy the challenge of finding ways to help students of various learning styles to understand. I feel that patience and consistency are important virtues to exhibit when teaching. The learning environment is also important. It should be conducive to learning and not overly distracting. I enjoy seeing students learn concepts that they didn't know before and getting excited about their new understanding. I have much experience teaching math to students of various learning styles. During the last 14 years, I have taught algebra, geometry, algebra 2, pre-algebra, basic math, pre-calculus, physical science, earth science, and biology mostly to high school level students. I also have much experience teaching "at risk" students and I have experience tutoring at Sylvan Learning Center.
